Well, initially, it started as an intention to earn a bit of extra cash really.  I needed to find easy ways to earn money online.  But I quickly realised that I was about the only person online who was not taking advantage of the affiliate marketing cash cow, so I started to invest more and more time and effort in advancing my knowledge and learning as much as I could.  I am now at the point where I can't really do anything else and I couldn't imagine not affiliate marketing now.  It is somewhat addictive, knowing that you can earn money from something you have invented and worked on.  It really has done my confidence the world of good, and I am now of the belief that I can do anything.  I would honestly say that if you are serious about setting up your own business, then affiliate marketing is definitely the way to go and if you are not a natural marketer, then you can still employ ways to earn money, you don't have to be a natural writer; it helps, but it is not totally necessary. 

I have a close friend who I thought could really benefit from a venture like affiliate marketing; she is totally different to me in every way, but she could do this with her hands tied behind her back, but she is daunted by the prospect of setting up her own website, writing and publishing articles, and knowing where to start.  But I have signed her up to Wealthy Affiliate and I live in hope that she will realise that affiliate marketing is definitely the way for her to pursue her dream to do something for herself.

If, like her, you are scared of the technological skills needed to do this, think about where I started, not knowing how or where to start with getting a website up and running, and not knowing where to start with affiliate marketing.  If I can do it, then anyone can do it!  So, good luck!
